Somehow Billy gets goaded into betting his friends that he can eat fifteen worms in fifteen days...for a fifty dollar win. His friends didn't think he could eat one, but as he whizzes along, day after day, without an issue, they come up with ways to trick him so he will lose. After all, they don't want to have to pay up.
Billy eats such delights as: Alsatian Smothered Worm, Whizbang Worm Delight Ice Cream Cake, and a Toasted Cheese & Worm Sandwich...along with regular old fried worms drowned in ketchup, mustard, and horseradish.
Possibly offensive theres include: betting, dares, pranks, fighting, and forgery. That, and the infamous word the book contains: BASTARD. Not anything that bothered me in the least. The ending was cute by the way.
